Fortunately Magazine is a post-capitalist lifestyle magazine that explores the intersections of art, culture, and economic democracy. We are published in print twice annually, and release online sporadically. Fortunately is published by Boston Ujima Project, with support from Art.Coop.

  1. You will give a 12-15 mins presentation that outlines everything your collective has done so far next week to our guest critics, Caroline Matthews and Neta Bomani. Please prepare a presentation that includes the following: Your slides should at least include the following information:
  • An introduction to the collective and its mission (name/story).
  • A brief introduction to the key members.
  • Manifesto: An analysis of the collective’s mission and formalize them in
  • Ways of Working: A discussion of the collective’s organizational structure
  • Collective Activation: What engagement have you designed, and its impact on others? How do you support each other in activating this engagement?
  • Publication as a Collective Doc: A reflection on what you learned
  1. Continue to work on your Collective Doc. For this week, please continue drafting the content and designing the layout of your collective doc. You can use any format you like to document your process, such as photos, videos or written reflections. The important thing is to share your experience of forming a collective in class and share what you have learned from this experience.
